Jonathan Kuhn is a fifth generation San Franciscan and did his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and UC Davis. Professor Kuhn has a PhD in Genetics from the University of California at Davis and has been active in research since 1963 until his retirement in 2010. His research centered on viruses and bacteria and he has worked with and taught about these since 1969. The only mammalian virus that he has studied is feline parvovirus as most of his efforts were devoted to the molecular biology of bacterial viruses which are much more sophisticated. During his academic career Professor Kuhn has published about 50 articles and patents and also founded and headed four biotechnology companies in the area of applied genetic engineering and nanotechnology. Besides his position at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, he has been a visiting scholar at Stanford, Princeton, University of Siena and NYU-Shanghai. This is the author’s fourth novel.
