About the Author

Maddison Duncan-Taylor was born in a small town in South Auckland, New Zealand. At the age of ten, she developed a lifelong obsession with Ancient Egypt and is now working towards a PHD in Egyptology at the University of Manchester. Her particular interest is King Tutankhamun, whom she has studied most thoroughly. Despite this interest in Egyptology, she also has a love of fantasy, which has followed her for her whole life. When she isn’t writing historical fiction and fantasy novels or studying, she is likely spending time with her grandparents, her grandmother in particular, and four brothers.
