Everyone’s Favorite Christmas Song- Do You Hear What I Hear

The song is announcing the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. That He is here…. Do you hear what I hear?

The good news is when the Christmas song is put away until next year, we still have our King! In Revelation chapter 1:13, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.

Also in Revelation 2:1, To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands.’ In my book and this blog I have written that as a reminder…. He is here with us and in us! Christ in us hope of glory, Colossians 1:27, my paraphrase.

How awesome is that! I get so excited when I meditate on that scripture. The strength I have is His, the love I have to give is His. Anything good in me is His. But I get to share in His glory. Nothing in this life beats that!!!!!

In John 10:14, by I am the Good Shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. Also in John 10:27, My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me.

I have to ask how we are to follow Jesus Christ if we cannot hear His voice? Yes, I know He has to give us ears to hear. If you can not hear His still small beautiful Voice…. ask Him for help!!!!! We have the word of God as our solid foundation, but His Spirit guides in most wonderful ways when we have ears to hear.

It is okay to make mistakes, so do not let fear hinder us. He is God and can fix anything! He is a Great God. But do not miss hearing and seeing what the Spirit of God is speaking to you today!  If it was not an issue, then this scripture would not have been written in Hebrews! Hebrews 3:15, while it is said:” Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the day of rebellion.”

Verse 3:19 of Hebrews also exhorts us to: So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Let us continue to follow our Lord and receive from the Lover of our soul- the inconceivable and live the unbelievable. ( The song written by Stephen Curtis Chapman- Great Expectations). I pray we go into 2014 with ears to hear Him and eyes to see what He is doing by the Spirit of God and the courage and boldness to obey.
