Hickman M. Johnson
Hickman M. Johnson is a graduate of Tennessee State University (B.S.), Morehouse School of Religion, The Interdenominational Theological Center (M.Div.), Mississippi College (M.A.), and Emory University (D.Min.). He was awarded the honorary doctorate (D.D.) from Mississippi Baptist Seminary. Dr. Johnson has served as Pastor of the historic Farish Street Baptist Church since 1968. He formerly served as Chaplain of Tougaloo College (67-69), Academic Dean (81-89), and President (89-02) of Mississippi Baptist Seminary.
Dr. Johnson is married to the former Gladys Marie Thomas, and they are the parents of five daughters and grandparents of eight. He is the author of Farewell My Friends, published by Trafford Publishing, and He Taught Them Saying: A Sermon Series from the Sermon on the Mount by WestBow Press.
