About the Author
Thomas Corwin was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1942. He graduated from Tulane University on a Navy scholarship and spent five years on active duty teaching physics at the Naval Nuclear Power School. After obtaining a Ph.D. in physics from Georgia Tech, he taught Physics and Astronomy at UNC Charlotte for almost 40 years, retiring in 2014.
After retiring, Thomas began writing fiction and earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University. In November 2020, his thesis, Tallapoosa: A Southern Novel, was published by SFK Publishing. His second book of fiction, The Art of Dying and other stories, has been published as well. In total, Thomas has published eleven books. Recently, he has taken up oil painting, and some of his work can be seen on mikecorwinart.com.
