James W. “Jim Bill” Keenan
As he has for 40 years, Jim Bill Keenan continues each day to enter the door of his country law office in Fayetteville, West Virginia, to “ply” his trade of the practice of law as a general trial court attorney. In addition to enjoyably practicing law, his only other avocation is the composition of his poetry. He never engages in any game nor any recreational sport rather taking respite from the rigors of the practice of law by short travels, fine dining and a nightcap with friends and professional contemporaries. When recently asked when he intended to retire, he responded, reflecting and observing, that he is retired and would do nothing other than “living it well” as he attempts to do each day.
Jim Bill Keenan engages in two art forms, one being the practice of law and the second being the composition of his poetry. Each of those awards him his life’s gratification and to them he renders his heart and his fidelity.
