Jim Driscoll
Jim Driscoll was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 10th, 1942… Mother’s Day… the first of 11 children in the family. He graduated from the University of Detroit in 1964. He moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1970 with his 3-year old son, Tim, after a contentious legal dispute involving a custody suit, and raised him there. After retiring from General Motors Acceptance Corporation in 2000, after 35 years of service, he began to follow his now married son and his son’s family from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Vancouver, Canada, and then back down to Portland, Oregon, as his son advanced at his job at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. This is his third book publication, following Reflections of a ‘B’-Movie Junkie (2010), an historical movie anthology, and Borders Of My Heart (2016), a personal and poignant account of the aforementioned custody matter that resulted in his absconding to the West Coast with his young son, which has long since been resolved.
