Steve Trout and Rick Telander
Steve Trout played baseball for the White Sox, Cubs, Yankees, and Mariners, pitching in more than 300 games, including the playoffs. He and his late father, former pitcher Paul “Dizzy’’ Trout, hold the record for the second-most combined wins by a father and son in Major League history. Trout operates youth baseball camps and clinics around the world and has previously written books to help children enjoy his beloved sport while succeeding at life.
Rick Telander is a sports columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times and the author of ten books. Previously a senior writer for Sports Illustrated and ESPN Magazine, Telander received the Dan Jenkins Medal for Excellence in Sportswriting in 2022 from the University of Texas and has been inducted into the National Sportswriters Hall of Fame in Durham, North Carolina.
