About the Book

The book is centered on a mother and daughter relationship which is played out through the energies and influence on each character of the mythical beings, Medusa and Athena.

These two archetypes inform the human characters, coloring their attitudes toward each other and the world they live in which covers the late 1950’s to the 1970’s.

There is considerable inquiry into the nature of memory and identity, on enslavement and agency.
While this may sound a bit academic, in the actual reading I am wanting to engage with the reader and get them wondering about some of the aspects of the human condition I write about – My tone is frank and inviting – this was what I aimed for anyway.
