Charlotte Delores Feacher was born in St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest city in the Nation. Her biological father was Cherokee Native American, but her stepfather raised her. He was a farmer and a Baptist Minister. She and her mother, both not of the Indian ancestry, were loving parents who loved her dearly, and taught her and her stepsister about goodness early in her life. She was raised near the famous St. Johns River on a Farm. They had cows, hogs, mules, horses, chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs and cats on the farm. They sold their meat, poultry and vegetables, to two public grocery stores 40 miles into town. They had one neighbor, and they had no children; so she and her sister were very close. They did everything together; she was her very best friend.
Because her father was a minister, Charlotte were taken to church every Sunday, and that is where they learned good morals, and heard good words of inspiration that influenced her life. She was motivated by words to live by. She was always a wise thinker and was told that she was inspirational throughout her years in school. They moved to Miami, Florida when she was 14. It was like moving to New York City, to a young country girl. She was so excited; she was moving to this large city, with city lights and many people.
Charlotte had no interest as a young girl in playing softball with her sister and friends. She would sit on the front porch of her home, and crochet dollies, Afghans or read books. She started a scrapbook of a collection of quotations that were inspirational to her. She dreamed about writing her own book someday and would try her hand at it when no one was around. She discovered during that time that she had a natural talent for writing. She wrote song lyrics, poems and short stories. She thought her writing was good, but still put them aside and never thought about pursuing writing as a career. She went into the medical field, and never developed her writing skills. She never went to an institution or college to learn how to write; so this book is just an expression of raw talent.
Charlotte raised her two children as a single parent and tried to teach them to be good individuals. She taught them to be positive thinkers, and she has given them her words of wisdom to live by. She is growing old now, and when you grow old, time is not always on your side. When she started to have grandchildren, and with great grandchildren coming, she knew that, she needed to leave them some encouraging words to live by. She thought about the thoughts she had been writing over the years, and as he began to start writing again.
In spite of the fact that Charlotte is self-taught, gifted and did not attend the best universities to learn how to write and express herself, she still had something she needed to say. She wrote this book because she believe her words would be an inspiration to others. Her hope is to encourage those who read her book, to be inspired and motivated to be a better person.
