This is a book about the importance of special-needs kids here in the Bronx, New York. Kids that are being raised by single working-class mothers in the inner cities all over the ghettos are suffering and struggling to get out and to make it out of the “hood” as we are misrepresented and misunderstood. This book, this biography, is dedicated to my special and needy son, my prince King Alex. The older he gets, the more special and needier he becomes! On the first page, you would think that my son is playing with shaving cream, but he is not. That day, Alex was receiving occupational therapy.

With that being said, now I also want to give a great big thanks to Mr. Peter from Cameron Place and Morris Avenue in the Bronx and to my fairy godmother Addah, wherever she may be found today. We met at a restaurant where I was working in the Riverdale area of the Bronx. Also, a great and special thank-you to my mother and my sister Victoria for supporting me and for helping me raise and bring this up.
